Do you kick, swing, run, bike, ski, throw, flip, skate, hike, jump, climb and/or swim? If so, Seventh-day Adventist colleges and universities have athletics, sports and recreation programs and facilities ready to facilitate your active lifestyle.

Sports and Athletics

There are sports events for men and women available at Adventist schools. In addition to intramural sports and intercollegiate sports teams, some colleges even have specific SDA sports traditions that involve the entire campus and the surrounding towns. The Sonnenberg Series of best-of-three basketball games, the Onion Bowl football tournament, and the Newmyer Classic basketball tournament are just a few of the Adventist sports events that attract a crowd each year.

Some schools are positioned near large outdoor recreation areas that host activities like mountain biking, snow skiing, soccer and golf, so you can experience your faith actively against the backdrop of God’s beautiful creation.

From mountains to beaches to desert, corn mazes to film studios to White House tours, you’ll find plenty of off-campus recreational activities near Adventist universities and colleges. Whether you enjoy indoor or outdoor activities, or prefer summer, fall, winter or spring fun, there are activities for you to enjoy at each one of our campuses.
