"I was impressed by how my nursing instructors at Florida Hospital College bent over backwards to help me and my classmates understand the concepts. During the panicked last moments just before a test, our teacher would read an inspiring passage and remind us that, 'You know more than you think you do.' Then she would pray for us. That always helped us start the tests right. The professors were tough, but they taught us and cared for us."

Seventh-day Adventist colleges and universities know and understand the importance of not only a healthy mind, but also a healthy body and spirit. This is why you will find a host of campus clubs to supplement your education.

All of our schools know that finding a way to belong in a new place can be a difficult task to accomplish. However, with such a hefty supply of choices, you are sure to get involved.

There are on-campus clubs for everything from athletics to music and prayer groups. With the diversity of our campuses, each club is unique to every institution. Here is a brief list of some of the different types of activities and clubs:

  • Local/international mission trips
  • Intramural/intercollegiate athletics
  • International organizations
  • Student government
  • Honors groups
  • Political clubs
