Columbia Union College
Takoma Park, Maryland
At Columbia Union College, the Adventist college at the nation's capital, it's all about you and your future. And in a particularly powerful way, it's also about location. From our park-like campus located just miles from the center of Washington, D.C., students take advantage of the nation's capital every day – not only as a place of historical interest, but as a workplace, classroom and playground. Study journalism and intern at The Washington Post, CNN or the Discovery Channel. Study pre-law and intern at a powerful D.C. law firm or on Capitol Hill. Study business and intern at the World Bank. The possibilities are endless. Columbia Union College graduates can move on to the next stage of life with an outstanding resumé.
Columbia Union College in Maryland allows you to explore the world around you through a wide variety of majors and a faculty that takes time to listen. We also allow you to immerse yourself in a dynamic spiritual environment with a focus on service. Add to that world-class musical performance organizations like the New England Youth Ensemble, which is performing over 20 times this year at Carnegie Hall, and you have a powerful choice for excellent, adventurous students who want to make a difference in the world.
And there's no shortage of activity on the Columbia Union College campus. We boast the denomination's only NCAA Division II athletics program and Mock Trial team. For off-campus adventure, over 200 miles of hiking trails begin at the edge of our campus. Some even lead to the monuments on the National Mall. WGTS, our campus radio station, is the third-largest Christian radio station in the U.S.
