At La Sierra University, we offer a hands-on education in a Christian environment on our friendly campus in Southern California. 

Academics

Christian Environment

As a Seventh-day Adventist Christian university, our faith is alive everywhere on campus. We offer a wide range of worship activities. Another way to grow in your faith is by participating in a mission trip for a few weeks, a quarter, or a whole year!

Small Classes

Our classes average just 20 students, so your professors can get to know you and make time when you need extra help. The faculty will mentor you for research projects.

Practical Education

We provide a useful education that prepares you to enter a career or head off to graduate school. Or, you can study in one of our pre-health profession programs as a jumping-off point for a medical career. Many La Sierra students go on to study health-related careers at Loma Linda University.

Financial Aid

If you need financial aid, you're not alone
–84% of students receive financial aid. It is our goal that qualified students will never be denied an education for financial reasons. Our Student Financial Services office will assist you in the scholarship and financial aid application process every step of the way.

Living on Campus

On our spacious 150-acre campus, you can live in one of the residence halls or the Honors Dormitory. Men and women live separately. You can live off campus if you're married, living with family, or over age 22.

Fun Things To Do

Music, drama, arts, sports, clubs-there are dozens of things to do at La Sierra! You can participate in our renowned music and arts programs, play sports at varsity, club or intramural level, or work out at our facilities. Or, join in one of our many special-interest clubs.

Location

La Sierra University is in Southern California, within one hour's drive of Los Angeles, the beaches, and the mountains. You can go surfing, snowboarding, hiking, shopping, rock climbing, attend concerts and sports events, or even go to Disneyland and other theme parks. And don't bother bringing your umbrella–it's Southern California!

Service to Others

We believe in using our education to make a difference in our world. Our service-learning courses let you apply your classroom lessons to help the community around you. And, our Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team has helped people around the globe to live better through empowerment. Our SIFE team is so good at it that they have won the international championship six times and the World Cup twice!
